Our crazy weather has been a challenge! My classes were all in different places. Some classes I hadn't seen in almost a month and some classes I saw every week just like normal. I think though finally all my classes are back on track.
These past two weeks we celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday by reading The Foot Book in First and Second grades. We played a game together to practice our vocabulary and some of my classes got to make a pair of feet with a pair of opposite words such as...izquierdo(left)/derecho(right), agarra(grab)/tira(throw), grande(big)/pequeno(small), frio(cold)/calor(hot), rapido(fast)/despacio(slow), and contento(happy)/triste(sad). Once students had chosen their words they illustrated the words with a picture. Now I have feet all over my room at Columbia and in my office at Heritage. Love it!!!
